The technical facts and accessibility features which have been implemented into this site are detailed below.

We believe that compliance to standards in a vital part of a functional and accessible web medium. As such this site adheres to web standards. These standards have been designed to maximise the compatibility of web pages across the Internet hence delivering a spectrum of benefits to a greater number of web users. We therefore recommend that you view the site using a modern web browser such as Firefox.

The resolution recommended for viewing this site is 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024 in 32 bit colour. 

Design

The site layout was created using XHTML Transitional and uses CSS2 for layout. Our tests indicate that all pages will validate according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). 

Although we are always striving to comply with the prescribed standards we do not have control over third party code. As a result pages containing such code may not validate to the W3C standards and recommendations.

Javascript has been used throughout the site for image galleries, slideshows and form validation. And although we recommend that Javascript be enabled in your browser it is not required to use the site.

This side has been developed using JSP technology from Sun Microsystems.

Access Keys

This website utilises a number of access keys which may assist in navigation of the content of the website. On Windows and Linux based PCs, you can press and hold Alt + an access key. On a Mac based computer, you can press and hold Control + an access key.
